Self/Discover Psychology collects personal information from you, including your name, title, email address, telephone number, presenting problem. This information is collected when you fill in the online enquiry form, contact the company with an enquiry, engage with the company for psychology services, or otherwise communicate and correspond with the company.
Self/Discover Psychology collects your personal information in order to identify you, process your referral, contact you about your enquiry, and provide a psychology service to you. The personal information collected is for the purposes specified above, and your personal information is retained for as long as needed in order to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, or as otherwise required by the New Zealand Psychology Board, or by law. Providing your personal information is optional, however, if you choose not to, a service is unable to be provided to you.
The Self/Discover website records standard information such as time, date and URL of request (the web page you arrived from) via our website provide. This information is used to understand advertising, and improve the functionality, structure and performance of this website. Self/Discover Psychology may analyse non-identifiable web traffic data to improve the service and how visitors use this website. Self/Discover Psychology takes all reasonable steps in accordance with the Privacy Laws for Health Professionals, to protect your personal information and prevent it from being lost, accessed, used, modified or disclosed in an unauthorised way. This includes locked cabinets for storage of physical documents, password protected files, and two-factor identification processes for access to client databases.
